It's amazing what you find under the stairs! Whilst digging around for something or other, I found an old shoe box full of Sunglasses. I recall I bought this box at a boot sale a few years ago. It was one of those sales were you buy a ticket for a tenner and you get a sealed box to take home. (you know the deal, we've all probably done it once or twice).
Anyway these Sunglasses were new with reasonably good designer names, like Polaroid and Charles Jourdan etc. So after the family had dug in to find a pair that suited them, I wondered what to do with the rest. So I put 'em back under the stairs!
So back to now. I started selling these glasses on eBay recently. I found a few other bits and pieces to list, and before I new it I had sold enough to start an eBay Shop. As I had more than just Sunglasses to sell I called it The Tynwald Emporium, but it soon transpired that I would do better with a theme. So I decided to sell products people may need for their holidays, mainly sunglasses but items like Suntan Lotions, Beachbags and the like came to mind. So now we are called Summer Breeze Sunglasses Bags'n Hats. Anyway we have a new range of Sunglasses for children, called Dudes & Dudettes. These glasses are great for protecting your kids eyes and letting them look cool at the same time. Check out the web-site to see my neighbours kids and my grandchildren modelling them! The name of my shop is inspired by the Isley Brothers song of the same name. The Seventies is one of my passions, I suppose thats because it was my "heyday" period. So I love Retro Stuff.
To this end I 'am currently setting up an All Things Seventies site called Bring Back Vinyl. I hope to convert LP's etc to CD,MP3, or Memory stick. I will sell Retro Products, Albums,CD's,Seventies films, and the like. Anyone reading this who has any ideas or wants to chat about the theme/period can always email me on paul@bringbackvinyl.ws
